Ron Artest is a Rocket.

EDIT:

This news is exciting.

After posting, I’ve already gotten a text from Jing and Nick posted his props to the GM on Facebook.

EDIT MORE:

I’ve been reading the ClutchFan Forums and they have a ‘where were you when…”

I couldn’t remember anything too far back, so I thought I should put mine here in my Artest Post. I do remember I was in Property class when I learned Yao was going to be out for the season.

So…when I learned about the Artest trade…I was attempting to study about ‘Claim Drafting’ for the Patent Bar here in Port Lavaca.  I say attempting because I logged into ClutchFans to see the thread that linked to the Chron.com article.  Even though nobody was in the dinning room with me, I spoke out loud:  “What the…”  Am I happy?  Yes.  I’m at the very least, excited.  Artest as a player is awesome.  He defends, can shoot the 3, and can post players up.  No complaints.  I’m excited.

I COULD brighten this up a bit but…yeah, no.

Here is the vid file.  You can see it better when it isn’t on YouTube.

Batman IMAX – no spoilers

Posted by Jason Wu on July 26, 2008

1. Heath Ledger was awesome and was not overhyped like I thought.
2.  Maggie Gyllenhaal by herself dropped this movie 1/2 a star for me, not for being a bad actress, but for just looking annoying.  I just can’t stand her.  Its a personal preference thing.
3.  The movie was a bit long.  They could have shaved some of it out with no effect on the story.
4.  The city IMAX scenes were freaking amazing.  If you didn’t see it in IMAX, then you missed out on some of the breathtaking scenes filmed especially for IMAX.
5.  When Bruce Wayne does the Batman voice, it sometimes sounds silly.  Do it better.
6.  I want to reemphasize how much I hated having inferior Katie Holmes in this movie.

Jason Kidd

Posted by Jason Wu on July 24, 2008

he decided to leave the gold medal inside a safe deposit box at a bank in Houston

Anybody know why Jason Kidd leaves his Gold Medal in Houston?

I assume he would live in Cali, Phoenix, NJ, or Dallas.

But who knows…   little factoid, his new female interest is from Port Lavaca and is pregnant

Hope Dworaczyk is her name.  She’s younger than me, somebody Cary Lai would know.

voices

Posted by Jason Wu on July 24, 2008

I can’t remember if somebody else talked about this or if I talked about, but do you read other people’s blogs in their voices?

Some people don’t write like they talk so I just read it.  Some people write exactly like they talk so all the words in my head are in the voice of the author, like in movies.

VY

Posted by Jason Wu on July 18, 2008

So this is how the events occurred…

I was driving on the radio and I heard on ESPN radio that Texas was going to retire Kevin Durant’s jersey number.  I agreed with their criticism that he only attended for a single year and did not graduate.

THEN… they mentioned that they were also going to retire Vince Young’s number and I was all for it…even though VY did not attend long enough to earn a degree either.  Of course, I know VY goes back to UT to take classes so he will eventually have a college degree from UT.  Still, I realized that my criteria for retiring a players number really had nothing to do with if he/she earned a degree or not.  EXPOSED

QUAKE LIVE beta test invitation

Posted by Jason Wu on July 17, 2008

If anybody is interested and doesn’t have one, I have a Quake Live beta test invitation.  I barely have enough time to play TF2, that I probably will not play Quake Live.  FYI, Quake Live is a browser version of Quake 3 and also goes by the name of Quake Zero.  It will eventually be free and the rumor is that this beta invitation gives the person 5 more beta invites as well.  I also believe something involving Quake Live will occur at Quakecon, just like how they gave out beta keys to ET QuakeWars last year.

EDIT:  By “anybody” I mean if I actually know who you are.  Sorry for any inconvenience.

potato man

Posted by Jason Wu on July 14, 2008

I remember hearing that the secret to Krispe Kreme donuts was potato. I personally KNOW it is the ton of sugar they use. It is so sweet that their donuts last for weeks instead of days. Crystal doesn’t go bad. Their donuts are like a rock of glazed goodness.

Sometime before the Great Depression, a French chef from New Orleans named Joe LeBeau developed the recipe for yeast-raised doughnuts–possibly the first of its kind in the United States–that would later form the basis of the Krispy Kreme empire. Eventually LeBeau established a doughnut shop in Paducah, Kentucky, which he sold in 1933, along with the secret recipe (speculated to contain vanilla and potato flour).
