Friend Wheel

Posted by Jason Wu on November 13, 2007

So this is my friend wheel on Facebook. It basically connects a line between your shared friends. It’s neat because you can see how certain groups of people are together and you can see the stray lines of your groups of friends mixing.

Notice my law school friends in blue all together. Notice my later UT years in green. It is a nice neat map of my friends on Facebook.

Now…. look at this mess Annie has.

Apparently the application warned that she had too many friends. Notice how the lines are all mixed and you can’t really see anything. I can’t even read the names.  If you look at my wheel, my greatest concentration centers around Annie.  She basically brings her mess into my wheel.

I thought I was something fierce, I thought I was ten times smarter

School is starting to load up and explode in my face. I basically have to start studying for finals now. Good thing is my memo will be done by Monday, so after the Legal Writing final on Thursday, that class is done. Then I have to worry about the other three. I’m prety sure I’m not ‘getting’ it all.
Contracts – open book, open everything take home 48 hour final – just means expectations are higher
Torts – single sheet front back of notes final – torts seems a bit wishy washy, and it’ll probably all come down to exam organization and presentation
Civil Procedure – closed book – have to memorize all the rules, and then apply – this may be too big of a hill

my schedule for first year looks like:

This semester I have:
Contracts – Chandler
CivPro – Crump
Torts – Joyce
Legal Writting – Morris

Next semester I have:
Constitutional Law – Oren
Criminal Law – Duncan
Property – Putt
Legal Writing – Morris
and probably McElvaney for Law Practice Strategies
