Halloween on a Wednesday means staying at home, reading Torts and Contracts while writing my memo. On a happy note, the NBA season has started and Houston won last night. I was hoping to insert a video of McGrady left hand dunking on Kobe on the fast break from last night, but I can’t find it on youtube yet.
Anyways, some of the great costumes I saw Saturday night:
1. guy dressed as Jesus wearing a sombrero… he was Jesus en Espanol (Hey-soos)
2. guy with pac-man head
3. guy as the pope, dancing with, guy as a nun, individually they were ok, together it was funny
4. Quailman (from Doug the cartoon) with underpants on the outside and everything
5. girl who was the lady from Ms. Teen USA, with the speech memorized (not so good was the guy dressed as a map following her around)

Consider this a follow up to Andrew’s:

They’re working on these things really close to where I live. I actually just happened to see a giant head when I was leaving my local Target one day. I totally forgot Andrew gave the location in this post. When I saw the giant head I was like, oh yeah. Annie and I revisited the site last last Friday and took some pictures. See her Flickr for more presidents and see how many you can name.

NBA’s Double Standard
These guys point out that when the Sun’s violated the bench rule, even though nothing happened, their punishment was automatically set. When the refs violated the gambling rule, the punishment was NOT automatically set. The situation was judged. You can easily argue that the Sun’s situation should also have been judged and not automatically ruled on.

I actually have lots to post about. However, school has me down. Biggest news, my laptop battery died. It seems to be a manufacturing defect and Lenovo is sending me a new one. For now, I can survive by just plugging it in. While not convenient, it beats a problem my classmate has. His laptop is out for a week and a half.

Our law school section (section B) is playing in a charity softball tournament on Saturday. I think it will be a good time to get to know my classmates better. So far everybody has been nice and nobody is cut throat for grades. Of course, finals season is coming soon, so the attitude may change.

Our team name is great though: Huge Subpoenas.

1. (7) Gilbert Arenas PG
2. (22) Al Jefferson PF,C
3. (35) Tracy McGrady SG,SF
4. (50) Tyson Chandler C
5. (63) Ben Gordon SG
6. (78) Stephen Jackson SG,SF
7. (91) Jamaal Tinsley PG
8. (106) Tim Thomas SF,PF
9. (119) Al Thornton SF,PF
10. (134) Bonzi Wells SG
11. (147) Shaquille O’Neal C
This was basically a trial run for Sunday’s draft. I got the 7th pick. I’m happy with Agent 0. I’m also banking on a couple Clipper players doing better with Elton Brand out. Bonzi was suppose to be my last pick but in chat people talked about getting him in the end of the 10th, so I got him first. Shaq could always surprise, so I’m happy with him. Al Thornton could be a bust like Tyrus Thomas was.

That is all.

Shout out to my flag football team on Wednesday nights. Winning record! No INT’s for me, but I’m old + slow and I do my job well enough. I did have a game saving flag pull on the last play of a game last week.
Shout out to Trix. Hope you get better. You can read more about his situation on Annie’s blog.
Shout out to the new look Rockets. I’m ready.
